Always love your photos of birds. Now I'm more impressed after my own attempts at the lake with herons, geese and other birds. Pretty pathetic. Love the shot from behind of the nest.
-
Ruth, you see only 10% of the pictures, which are presentable.
I have lots of junk. only the feet or the beak, Many times I click only to find there's no bird in the frame. I am too early or too late. Luck and patience play a great role while taking pictures of the birds. I have lots of pictures of Night Herons which I have not posted so far. I'll post them next.
-
Yes, those are the best, the frames that are completely blank. Where did they go?? I had lots of those that were supposed to have geese flying over in a beautiful "v". I guess they "flew south."
-
well these birds have better things to do other than keeping a tidy nest LOL my kind of bird :)

There's more than "luck and patience" here, Rauf. You're doing beautifully!!

Hi Neeru,
Cormorants are pretty common, I am not an authority either, have lots of pictures of birds that I can't identify myself.
-
Lorraine Hi
You have a new profile picture !
Cormorants have amazing speed. Needs a lot of patience, I get frustrated easily Lorraine.
-
oh yes Kathy, keeping intruders like me away from their nest is a big job
-
Ruth I have posted some of my junk here in blunt knife a few months ago. Since I have only one card, I keep deleting all the blanks at the end of the day. Then I find only few frames with birds.
-
Luck is not always on my side Kate
-
wow!
you are certainly fortunate and have a better camera than me - not sooooo hard, I guess...
Nice pics, nice spot.
-
Supreb! Wonderful pictures and birds.

Beautiful series of photos. Your cormorants seem to be much larger than ours here in Canada - they look a bit different too. It was very interesting to see so much detail.
-
I have an ordinary digital Panasonic Angeldust. Its not SLR These pictures were taken in Kumarakom in Kerala, its a nice spot but couldn't stay there as the place is so expensive that I did not even afford a cup of coffee there. Just spent a couple of hours in a boat.

We have different sizes of cormorants, and we have little cormorants too. I'll post their pictures soon.
