.
And Patty, I would ask you to take a look at Georgia O'Keefe's work.
And please read her brief biography too, very interesting. (Barnes & Noble Books New York) I get very angry when people talk about material and spiritual happiness. You really don't know how I went after that book, it was not available here in india,
Georgia O'Keefe's work is on the net too.
Rauf, here is the site I went to and read Georgia O'Keeffe's biography:

Very interesting life. I will look more into her work.
Can you explain more about material(do you mean wealth, possessions, art, photos?) and what you mean about and hate about spiritual happiness?
Miss Eileen, People have asked me many times why my pictures and portraits are off centre, I have no answer. Different perspective is what makes life interesting. Personality is perhaps the other word.
A very famous south Indian singer came to me for a portfolio. I did not give him a couple of pictures which I thought to be very bad, not all the pictures I take are good, I have bad days too when nothing comes out well. Out of 36 pictures one was really ghastly, hideous you may say, I did not give him that print, but I gave all the negatives, which contained that hideous picture too. After a couple of months, I went to my favourite book and music store, to my utter disbelief, I saw that particular hideous picture on the cover of the singer's CD.
Thank you Mr. Kleinert, this is not digital, I blurred the background on photoshop. some times I add brush on them, physically pulling the mouse to give the brush strokes, which has nearly killed my right shoulder. I'll post those pictures soon.
I don't know if half painting half photograph is a good idea, I do it for myself any way.
Patty, I am extremely sorry I completely missed your comment.
I am what I am with my camera books and music, one can't really call them possessions, though they are. They are the instruments and the source of inspiration. The joy you get out of these materials is nothing less spiritual. I know how I felt when I had my first walkman, which inspired me to go on a Himalayan trek. a book(Earth Abides) completly changed my life.
I think yesterday I replied to you asking you not to wait till you become rich. Your passion your knowledge, the fruits of your labour, your imagination makes you the richest person in the world.
Today I have absolutely no money, no savings whatsoever, (though I would not advise you to follow the same) I am not worried about tomorrow and i am planning my next trek next week, things will happen.
I find it hard to differentiate between material and spiritual happiness. Your camera is just a tool, but in your hands Patty, through your imagination it becomes a source of spiritual happiness.
Dreamy colors! Can I ask how you did the background?
