No No, he is not wearing a black t-shirt with a design which looks like a tigers head from a distance, he is bare chested. The white clad villager has actually applied Chandanam (Sandlewood paste and kumkum, red power) on his chest and on his forehead as well. The drummer has applied it on his neck. I remember people applying chandanam when they have sore throat or some infection. Not sure if it is effective. Chandanam water is sprinkled on auspicious occasions like the chap wearing red kumkum in the post before last 'pilgrimage perhaps'

I was taking pictures of decorated cows and bulls on Mattu pongal (harvest festival of south India) I'll post the pictures in Daylight Again.

    E2DEES whattoo ?? how do you know ? There is no sight of any temple in the picture. Yes the temple is to the left of the Chandanam spalshed guy. left or right ?

    Removed the pictures of the little girl and posted them in daylight again.

    sappittiya is right e3dees. but I think it is bad Tamil. pronounced chaaptiyaa is madras tamil
    pongal chaaptiyaaaa ?

    Sappiteengala ? Or sappitteerghala is additional respect. I think I think not sure
