Not very pretty looking birds, but the pattern on the feathers is really lovely. I am not comfortable taking their pictures. Some kind of fear grips me.
Their claws are made like oars, helps them in take off and they are pretty fast.
The first impact water drops are still in the air and the bird has traveled so far. Its a joy to watch their landing and take off
When I saw the picture I thought this bird has 2 heads, actually there is another bird in the background
They fly very fast just inches above the surface of water. I wouldn't request them to sing. They are not very good singers.
Not a good house keeper, their nests are pretty messy
